Confectionery

DESCRIPTION:

There are many  rich and varied confectionery pastries; several cloistered convents make these delicious sweets.
Marroquíes cakes, quince preserves, rosquillas (ring-shaped pastries) and egg caramel custard. 
In Christmas time typical products are made: pestiños (honey- or sugar-dipped fritters), almond alfajores (sweet biscuits), mantecados or buns (made with lard), etc.
Several confectioneries make, among many other products : Ecijan yemas (sweets made from egg yolks and sugar), the typical lard sweets and the molletes (bread), of great tradition in this town...
